サウスヤラにある白を基調としたスタイリッシュなカフェ。

メルボルンに何店舗かあるMakerのモチーフは変わらない。

店内に入るといつも明るい気持ちにさせてくれる。

何度もお世話になっているこのMakerだが、今回オーダーしたのはアーモンドラテ。

いつ行っても美味しいラテがいただけるのがこのお店。

コーヒー以外にも、日本にも進出しているメルボルン発のクラフトスペシャルティチョコレートドリンクブランド、Mörk Chocolateのホットチョコレート、プラナチャイ、Miller's Organic Farmのオレンジジュースもある。

Mörk Chocolateを使ってモカを作ったことがあるが、とっても美味しかった。

朝から賑やかなこのカフェ、店内を楽しむにも、テイクアウトにもおすすめ。

MAKER Coffee opened its second outlet in South Yarra back in 2020. Another addition to The Como Center, it boasts an aesthetically pleasing vibe near the corner of Chapel Street and Toorak Road.

The place is always buzzing with foot traffic, and our visit was no different. People were constantly coming and going. The turnaround was fast, but you did not feel the traffic with service provided and even if the store was small it size, it still felt relaxing and spacious.

Tomoyo and I perched up inside on one of the window-side tables and we spent quite some time people watching and discussing the look of the café.

My almond latte there was a winner, which comes as no surprise if you look into the history of the owners Stephanie and John Vroom. As Broadsheet mentions, "They think that with the right attention paid to sourcing, roasting and cupping, single-origin brews can be just as well-rounded and flavoursome as those mixing multiple locations."

They also offer hot chocolate courtesy of Mörk Chocolate, Prana Chai and juice by Miller’s Organic Farm.

For more reviews on Maker, Laura Angelia gave Maker’s CBD location a 10/10 while No-BS (now Play-Ground) had Maker as their featured roaster way back in November 2018.

High recommendation from me to check out one of their locations. The South Yarra location is definitely very popular to stop by for a catch-up or collect and go. It’s very well located if you’re keen to head west towards Toorak, south down Chapel Street, north to Richmond or east towards the Royal Botanic Gardens.
