The Heart of Richmond

While Tomoyo went for a catch-up with friends over at Friends Of Mine café, I went over to check out Heart Coffee.

Located on the southern part of Burnley Street in Richmond (just a stone's throw away from Swan street), the café was buzzing with other cafe-goers when I was in around lunch-time on a Saturday.

Their sweets and pastries options looked delicious (check out this HUGE chocolate cake on melbournomnom's TikTok), but I convinced myself to save the calories and opted into a mushroom toastie for lunch.

Alongside it, I grabbed a rare second coffee for the day. It was a great companion while I sat in and got some work done, although I think I overdid the caffeine on this day (my own fault for doubling up).

Overall, it was a successful first trip there! Staff were friendly and some of them lit up even more when their friends came through mid-way through my visit.

If you're looking to trial somewhere new or keen on some delicious-looking morning sweets, I recommend putting Heart Coffee on your list.
