Heartwarming Coffees In A Heritage Building At The Manse

ロンズデール・ストリートにあるマンセの建物は、1859年にウェスレー教会と並んで建てられた歴史ある建物。

その遺産がメルボルンで永く受け継がれるよう、建物を慎重に修復されこのカフェが誕生した。

メルボルンの現代的な美学を1. 組み合わせて、既存の遺産の特徴を補完し、メルボルンの過去と現在の文化を融合させている。

そしてなんといってもこのカフェは、メルボルンで有名なアクシルコーヒーロースタ がオープンした。（アクシルコーヒーロースタには以前行っている）

早速店内に入ると、歴史的な建築を楽しめるカフェが広がり、新しいカフェの形を体験させてくれる。

今回はアーモンドラテとアボカドトーストをオーダーした。

アボカドトーストはバターが塗られたトーストに、たっぷりのアボカドとフェタチーズ、炒った甘じょっぱいごまとパンプキンシードが別々に添えてある。

ラテもさすがアクシルコーヒーといった感じでブレがなく美味しかった。

大切な人とのお食事にも最適。

歴史的建造物の中でいただけるなんて、なんとも貴重な体験だった。

メルボルンのカフェは新しい発見とワクワクをくれる。

The Manse is (in my own words) an iconic café in its design, with the café being a feature within Wesley Place, an urban park precinct in Melbourne CBD that is home to many restored heritage buildings.

The Manse calls one of these revitalised building home, and it is very picturesque to say the least.

Presented by Axil Coffee Roasters, the café stands toe-to-toe with some of the best that Melbourne has to offer, but few can compete with the layout. There are dining options to the southern entrance, indoor and a little courtyard (my pick) to the north.

It feels a bit more prestigious, but on both this trip and another, I have used The Manse as a base of operations to start my work morning.

As for the food, both times I opted for the avocado toast and was not disappointed.

Wesley Place boasts some amazing getaways, and The Manse feels right at home alongside some other wonderful places such as Foundry Lane, Sakura Kaiten Sushi and my personal favourite for a Friday arvo beer: Caretaker's Cottage.

If you're ever on the north-eastern side of Melbourne CBD, stop by for a brew. When the weather is good, I strongly recommend working from the courtyard.
